Sustainable labelling: what we know, what is missing, and what we can do

Work Package 2 of our project has just been completed and delivered key insights: we analysed competences, behaviours, and perceptions related to ethical and green food labelling in partner countries.

What did we find?

  • Education is the main source of knowledge on sustainable labelling across all countries
  • VET students show growing interest but struggle to understand certification systems
  • Women are more engaged and aware of food sustainability issues
  • Companies face challenges keeping up with standards due to costs and fragmented regulations

What’s next?

We will develop micro-credentials to bridge the identified training gaps, providing updated and accessible educational tools for educators and students.
